Which is better for mechanical engineering, JUET Guna, G.L. Bajaj Noida, or Medicaps Indore?

All these institutes offer decent Mechanical Engineering programs. JUET has been ranked 86 among the top 100 universities in India by NIRF. Whereas G.L. Bajaj Noida and Medicaps Indore are ranked 26 and 118 for B.Tech by India Today.

JUET Guna:

Admission-

  • For BTech admission, 60 seats are filled through JEE and another 60 is on a merit basis (10+2 results).

  • The tuition fee per semester for B.Tech is Rs.82500 and Rs.42000 for M.Tech.

  • There are a total of 120 seats for B.Tech and 10 seats for the M.Tech course.

Facilities-

  • There are Computer-Aided Design Lab, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab, and many other lab facilities to ensure the practical skills of the students.

  • The laboratories are well equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies such as CNC machines, Robots, Additive manufacturing machines, and software packages such as Autocad, Pro/Engineer ABAQUS, Magics RP, Edge CAM, etc.

Placements-

  • Nearly 110 students of the 2016-2020 B.Tech Mechanical Engineering batch got placed after graduation.

  • Major recruiters are Adani Wilmar, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., JSW Steels Ltd., Bosch Ltd., John Deere, Liu Gong, DHL, Sanghi Cements, Vihaan Networks Ltd., and Lutron and many more.

G L Bajaj:

Admission-

  • The admission to the B.Tech program is through JEE Mains.

  • The total course fee is 2.2 lakhs

Facilities-

  • The department has a Thermodynamics and Applied Thermodynamics lab, Fluid Mechanic lab, Dynamics of Machines lab, CAD/CAM lab, and Material Science lab, and many other facilities.

  • It has centers like the Design Innovation Centre, Centre for Aerodynamics, Centre for HVAC-R, and Centre for Robotics & Automation and SAP Learning Hub.

Placements- The department equips students as industry-oriented engineers.

  • Fortune industries such as Graziano, Saint Gobin, DCM Shriram, Systemair, Elgi, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys are the main recruiters.

  • The average CTC offered is 4.4 LPA.

Medicaps:

Admission-

  • The admission to the B.Tech and M.Tech Mechanical Engineering program is through JEEMains and GATE examination.

  • The course fees for B.Tech and M.Tech are 4 lakhs and 1 lakh.

  • Available seats for B.Tech are 180 and 18 for M.Tech.

Facilities- The Mechanical Engineering department of the Medicaps has more than 52 highly experienced faculty members and 13 fully-fledged laboratories with modern machinery and software.

Placements-

  • Some popular recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Zetatek, Umang Engg, Amazon, Force, Wintek Tapadia, Skill Ventory, Locus, and many others.

  • The average CTC at the institute is 3.88 LPA.

Hence, it is better to choose either JUET or Medicaps. Both offer B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Mechanical Engineering, along with advanced curriculum and well-equipped laboratory facilities to make the students apt for the emerging market demands.
