Mechanical and automation engineering offered at MAIT is a 4-year undergraduate course dealing with theoretical aspects of conventional core mechanical engineering along with automation.

MAE department of MAIT has highly qualified (Ph.D. and postdoctoral level) and experienced faculties to prepare young minds to the global competition. MAE branch has a faculty Student ratio of 1:5 with 33 professors/assistant professors on campus.

Admission:

  • For admission in the MAE branch at MAIT, one has to secure a place in the top 1000 ranks in the IPU CET exam.

  • Students with JEE Main rank under 48,611 are also eligible for admission in (MAE)MSIT.

  • MAE Department offers a total of 180 seats and the tuition fee for each year is 1.15 lakh.

Infrastructure:

All the labs of the department like FMS Lab, Robotics Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Metrology Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Strength of Material Lab, Fluid Mechanics, and Fluid Machines Lab have high-quality global level-equipments. The departmental library has more than 500 books of international standards.

  • Overall 150+ companies participate in the recruitment process every year. Top recruiters include Amazon, Expedia, IBM, TCS, Accolite, Accenture, WIPRO, Infosys, Sapient.

  • The number of core companies visiting are only around 5-6 per year.

  • 70% of the students pursuing MAE get placed at top companies(most of them include IT companies) with an average salary of 4.95 LPA.

  • The highest package offered at MAIT is 28LPA.

  • 500+ students were recruited on campus in 2019, with Infosys and Cognizant offering the maximum offers.
