B.sc from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

You need to take TNAU entrance to get admission to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. For UG and PG courses, admission is based on merit. You need to score good marks in the entrance exam, in order to get shortlisted. The required cutoff changes each year based on competition and the number of seats available. TNAU has an NRI quota as well.

My brother is a student of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and has a better insight into the topic. According to him, in order to secure admission for any UG, PG, or Ph.D. courses from various states outside Tamil Nadu, applicants are required to sit for the AIEEA examination held by ICAR for obtaining admission under JRF/SRF.

A few years back, ICAR canceled the accreditation of TNAU due to emerging friction between both bodies. Now, in light of the rising controversy, every university-affiliated under ICAR was supposed to reserve at least 25% of the total seats for JRF candidates, but TNAU decided to deny the proposal which led to the cancellation of the ICAR quota.

As per the guidelines, applicants belonging from the home state, are likely to take an entrance exam conducted by the TNAU itself, while students from other states have to take the exam separately.

However, if you want to take admission to other universities, you may directly avail it by taking the ICAR JRF/SRF examinations.
