B.A from University of Delhi (2020)

Yes, DU SOL is a good option for pursuing B.Com. To score well, you will have to be self-disciplined. You need to complete the syllabus on your own with the help of teachers and instructors. This course is especially good for people doing professional courses on the side.

Scoring 60% in the final year is not that difficult. The final year syllabus has more focus on practical subjects. To score well focus on these subjects.

I have a few friends from DU SOL and according to them, it is not that difficult to score more than 60+ marks in the final year. It is not that difficult. Even if you are an average student you can clear the degree with a good percentage.

All you need is perseverance and a study routine. Also, the books you have are enough to get you marks and you don’t need extra books for reference.

Here are some of the things that you need to know.

  • DU SOL is considerably tougher to score than DU.
  • The reason is unlike DU (regular) in which marks distribution is on internal assessments, coursework, and presentation, whereas in SOL it is about year-end exams and the checking criteria are much more stringent.

That’s not to say that no one can get 1st division on DU SOL, you definitely can, if you are dedicated enough.
