Delhi University is a better option. It is a central university, while MU is a state university. DU receives humongous funding from the central government. Naturally, it stands much higher than any state university including MU. It offers better education, infrastructure, and research opportunities.

DU has hardly 100 affiliated colleges. So, it’s easier for the administration to make sure the education process is smooth. MU has over 1100 colleges. Handling so many colleges, hampers the fundamentals of education, at times.

Overall, DU is more organized and offers better education and learning opportunities.

Delhi University is much better than Mumbai University. Even the people who belong to Mumbai think that. Delhi University has a wide range of subjects to offer that are not even available at Mumbai University. One of my friends studied at Delhi University. According to him, these are some of the things that make DU stand out among others.

  • The course structure for most of the courses in Delhi University is well framed which is not the case in Mumbai.
  • DU provides a lot of extra co-curricular activities and there are more events as compared to Mumbai University.
  • Even with regards to the infrastructure, Delhi University is way better than Mumbai University.
  • Most colleges like HR, Jai Hind are located in very narrow lanes and are extremely old and just alone buildings.
  • On the other hand, Delhi university’s colleges are huge buildings with great infrastructure.
  • In Mumbai, local trains are very well-connected but they are a hodgepodge.
  • On the other hand, Delhi Metro is very much well-developed, clean, and maintained. It makes it convenient and easy to use.
  • Food that is available in Delhi is way better than Mumbai as Mumbai’s street food.

Except for Xavier’s, Mumbai University does not have a course in economics and Xavier’s is autonomous. Hence, it is suggested that you opt for DU rather than MU.
