What should I prefer: IIITM Gwalior or DA-IICT?

Indian Institute of Information, Technology and Management (IIITM), Gwalior, and Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT) are both excellent colleges for Engineering and Science courses.

Tabulated below is a brief overview of both institutes:

Courses:

Both these colleges offer courses in B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and P.hD, with IIITM offering a course in MBA whereas DAIICT has a special master’s degree for design M.des. Along with the ordinary courses, IIITM offers integrated courses as well in a B.Tech + MBA and B.Tech + M.Tech format.

Admission and Scholarships:

IIITM and DAIICT are both famous for their engineering courses however their JEE cut-offs are very different. IIITM offers Scholarships to students on the basis of merit whereas DAIICT has numerous scholarships sponsored by Reliance based on merit cum means.

Campus:

• In terms of campus area, IIITM Gwalior has a 200-acre campus area with a library, hostel, laboratories, and other sports facilities. They also have an auditorium, yoga centre and numerous other recreational activities.
• DAIICT has a modern campus with a library, 24/7 Wifi facilities, IT Labs, and up-to-date infrastructure as well as 7 food courts offering a number of delicacies and food types.

Placements:

• In terms of placements. IIITM records over 90% placements with the highest salary package of 42 LPA and averages being 14.58 LPA. The top recruiters include Microsoft, Makemytrip, EY, Morgan Stanley, Google, Reliance, and Goldman Sachs.
• DAIICT has a tremendous placement record with 372 out of 400 students receiving a placement letter and has tie-ups in many multinational companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.
