IIM Indore gives less importance to the CAT percentile because it pays more importance to the aggregate of 10th and 12th class of students. Although every college, specifically every IIM has its own criteria for selecting the candidates, IIM Indore is more into academics and less into the entrance, graduation marks, or even the working experience. Here is the selection procedure for IIM Indore in brief.

Stage I- CAT score has the least weightage in the shortlisting stage. Any student with good academic performance and above-average CAT scores can get a call from IIM Indore. Here is the CAT cutoff for 2020, in IIM Indore.

Category  VARC DILR QA Overall Percentile
General  80  80  80  90
NC OBC 70  70  70  80
EWS 80  80  80  90
SC 55  55  55  60
ST  45  45  45  50
PwD 45  45  45  50

The weightage given for the 10th score is 34%. There is the weightage for graduation marks, both for the shortlisting of WAT-PI and the final selection.

Stage II- It consists of the WAT and PI round which you have to clear to appear in the next round. If a student fails to attend this, he/she would be out of the selection process.

Stage III- There is a weightage of 40% marks given to the PI round in the final selection and as the students are already selected based on the academics, it is now in the final selection when 20% aggregate is for the CAT exam.

Therefore, you must have a good academic background to get admission to IIM Indore.
