The first step to get into IIM Indore for your PGP is to clear the CAT exam. As there’s already plenty of information online on how to clear the exam, I’ll be moving forward to the next steps.

Once you get a call from IIM Indore, the next step is GD and PI. The GD round is all about speaking. But do not make the mistake of speaking useless things. Instead, make just 2-3 points that are logical and that take the discussion forward. Else, come up with something creative to support your opinion. For example, my friend got the topic- “Advertising: Noise Attracts Attention”. As soon as the floor was open for discussion, he made a loud thud with his foot. This attracted everyone’s attention towards him. In response, he just said- “Hence proved, noise attracts attention.” He cleared the round because of his out of the box response.

The personal interview is mainly a test of your confidence. Read general knowledge material and prepare at least one subject of your interest in depth. You’ll be asked questions on them. If you do not know a certain answer, be honest about it. You can add humor to the conversions, but do not use inappropriate jokes. You must across as a sensible gentleman.

These are a few tips to ace the GD PI round, which will ultimately lead you towards becoming a student at IIM Indore.

IIM Indore was the sixth edition of the IIM family. Students from various academic backgrounds seek admission to this institute for its full-time PGP, PGP-HRM, EPGP, IPM, IPBA programs at the PG level. The institute offers two doctoral-level programs including FPM and E-FPM, too. The Mumbai campus of IIM Indore offers PGP and PGPMX programs.

IIM Indore admission process takes place in online mode. If you want admission to the flagship course PGP then you must have a valid score in the CAT exam.

For other courses, admission is based on a valid qualifying entrance exam followed by the selection process.

  • For PGP and PGP-HRM, students are shortlisted based on the CAT cutoff. Once shortlisted you will have to undergo a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview for final selection.
  • Admission to EPGP is offered based on GMAT scores to students having experience of more than five years.
  • For the IPM program, IIM Indore conducts the IPMAT exam. It is followed by WAT and PI.
  • Admission to the FPM program is granted admission based on overall performance in Research Aptitude Test (RAT) followed by the PI round.

The official website has detailed admission information.
