Are there any prospects for government jobs after I take the PGDMM course from NITIE Mumbai?
There is no such Govt. agencies visiting NITIE Mumbai placement drive. Although it offers good placement opportunities in the private sector. For the academic year 2022, the average CTC offered to students during the placement drive was INR 17.5 LPA.
If you want to join the Govt. sector, you can join PSUs, through the GATE examination. But you won’t get govt. Jobs through campus placement.

PGDMM (Post Graduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management) is a management course that focuses on the manufacturing sector and is equivalent to an MBA course offered by other institutes.
- A student after completing this course is eligible to apply for all government jobs which require an MBA degree.
- But if a candidate wants to apply for PSUs, then he/she will have to appear for the GATE exam, as the selection is done based on that.
- Regarding the placements in the government sector, no enterprises visit the campus for interviews as of now. You will have to apply off-campus and there are very good chances of getting a government job.
But you should opt for this course only if you are interested in working in the manufacturing industry. The placement of the PGDMM course is very good as it is equivalent to an MBA degree, but to get a government job you will have to apply through off-campus ways.
