How is the placement scenario for the finance and marketing domains at NITIE?

NITIE is not visited by many companies with dedicated Marketing and Finance profiles.

It is a richer option for SCM, Operations, and IT management placements.

It is the leading name in supply chain management.

Only freshers are offered marketing profiles. The FMCGs offer profiles that are somewhat related to marketing (thus not fully dedicated to marketing).

Corporate finance profiles, Investment banking positions, or Banking firm positions are offered in finance. Banking firms do visit NITIE with good finance placements, for both freshers and experienced candidates. These finance placements offer good packages. However, the placement figure is much lower as compared to JBIMS and IIMC.

Here is the NITIE Placement record for Banking, Finance, and Insurance sectors:

Students at NITIE are mostly not interested in a Finance Career. Most belong to an engineering background, almost none have a finance background. Very few students at NITIE have CFA certifications. The finance faculty is not as good as IIMs. A CFA certification is a must if you want to secure a finance position. Mostly, you are on your own.

This is the reason why recruiters seldom come to NITIE for finance and marketing positions.

NITIE is a famous institution for SCM and Operations courses only. Searching for decent job opportunities in the fields of Finance and Marketing at NITIE, will not be a great decision at NITIE.

NITIE does have skilled and experienced faculty for the department of Marketing but the faculty members of the Finance department are considered to be average by a majority of the students. The students who work hard and put in extra effort in comprehending the concepts of finance apart from the college lectures do get an idea about the domain. My brother is an alumnus of NITIE. In my brother's batch, some students were able to qualify for CFA level 2.

Now coming to the placement of the institution, several reputed companies do visit the campus and offer job roles in the Finance sector but most of the popular companies visit IIM and not NITIE.

For job roles in the Marketing domain, the job offers are nearly zero almost every year.
