Yes, it’s possible to get admission at Thapar University, based only on board marks. For 50% of the seats, admission is through JEE Main. While for the other 50%, admission is done based on the 10+2 score.
In order to get admission based on merit, you need to score above 70% in 10+2. You also should have appeared in JEE Main, in order to be considered.
You will require a minimum of 45 marks that are required in JEE Main to be eligible for admission to Thapar University.
There is an entrance exam for those who have not appeared or are not qualified for JEE. You can appear in that. With the score in that and your board results, you can have admission in Thapar as per vacancies.
From 2019 onwards, you can get admission only with your board marks, PCM marks, to get a good branch. It should be above 94 percent.
