My brother went to Dharmsinh Desai University. Here are some tips which may be helpful, according to him.
The sessional examinations can seem a bit hectic at first, but after the first semester, you will get used to it.
Since the institute focuses exclusively on academics, you get few opportunities to participate in co-curricular activities.
Attendance is not that big a deal. For labs, you must have an attendance of 80% but for regular classes, 50% will work.
Try to clear Engineering Graphics in your first attempt. It will be taken up by the Mechanical department. Which is one of the toughest branches.
Try and perform well at the C Programming (since it would be your subject in both your first and second year) if you belong to the CS/IC/IT/EC department.
You would have no proper college life to experience at the campus. Most of your time would go into studies.
Work so hard, so that you do not fail in any particular subject. You would end up suffering in the next semester that follows and eventually, you would ruin the whole year.
