Is doing an MBA distance from IMT Ghaziabad after a 4-year gap good? I have only 1 year of work experience.

It is not recommended that you pursue an MBA through distance learning at IMT Ghaziabad, especially if you have a four-year gap in your education and only one year of work experience. In this case, it may be more advantageous for you to apply to top B-Schools that are beneficial for distance learning as they can offer more value to your resume.

Another factor to consider is the placement services provided by institutions such as NMIMS, which can be beneficial for securing job opportunities after graduation.

While it is understood that the four-year gap in your education may have been due to valid reasons, it is important to consider your academic credentials. Before making a decision, it is recommended that you research other options such as distance learning MBA programs from TAPMI, Symbiosis, or certification programs offered by MICA and IIMs. This way, you can make an informed decision that will benefit you in the long run.

IMT Ghaziabad is a good institute for MBA. It basically depends on your previous academic performance and work experience. Generally, good institutes require at least 3 years of experience for their MBA program after being selected in the cutoff marks of the exam.

MBA distance program is mostly not a well-accepted education system in India and affects career and employment.
In distance programs especially in courses like MBA, it gets difficult because the students are unable to go through the practical knowledge which comes from interacting directly with the industries.
Live group projects, face to face negotiations are also missed when it comes to Distance MBA programs.
Distance MBA programs can only be beneficial when they have the name tag of the most famous B schools and institutes like XLRI, NMIMS, Amity, etc.
Still, it won’t be better than the normal MBA course and the placement won’t be the same either.

It is suggested that you go for a normal MBA or distance MBA from some reputed institute. This might increase your chances to get a proper job in a reputed company.
