Having to know people studying in these institutes and after doing some research myself, I got to know about some things which might help you get a proper insight, Here are some of the following:

IIIT Jabalpur, Allahabad, Gwalior, and Kancheepuram are all MHRD funded and they are quite old in comparison with IIIT Guwahati.
IIIT Jabalpur has the best rankings among all of the IIITs.
IIITM Gwalior is the oldest institution among all.
IIIT Allahabad has the best placements among all.
