IIIT Delhi CSE is better. Despite being a new institute, it is doing excellent in terms of academics and placements. IIIT Delhi placements ended with an average CTC of INR 19.72 LPA. The highest CTC offered was INR 1.84 CPA. Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc. are the major recruiters that took part in the campus drive.
IIIT D has an active research culture as well. If a career in research interests you, it is the perfect option.
I have friends from both IIIT Delhi and NIT Calicut, based on the conversations I had with them I will say the former is a better option for CSE.
IIIT Delhi is doing quite well, in spite of the fact that it is one among many newer IIITs. Only a few years back, a student from the institute bagged a package of almost 71 Lakhs.
Here is a brief rundown of the overall placement statistics of both the institutes.

NIT Calicut is relevantly an excellent institute as well, but at the end of the day, it depends upon you. If you are more research-oriented, then preferring IIIT Delhi can be better than pursuing your career in NIT Calicut. You will have more opportunities in Delhi.
