The 1-year PGDM(GM)/GMP program offered by XLRI is one of the best MBA programs in the country. The duration of the program is 15 months out of which you will have to spend 12 months on campus.
Besides all this, Jamshedpur is a great place away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. You will definitely enjoy your time there.
An executive course is a one-year MBA degree for working professionals, whereas a full-time PGDM is for two regular years, like all other MBA degrees. The executive course at IMT Ghaziabad is quite good. They have concise and to-the-point courses and complete almost the whole two-year program in one year. Placements for executive students may not be as many, as most of them are already working, but they do help in placements for other students.
If you choose to pursue a correspondence course, it does not matter as much where you pursue it.
IIM Shillong, being an IIM, has its own prestige. But when compared to all B-schools Rankings, IMT Ghaziabad is definitely higher up the charts than IIM Shillong or SPJAIN PGDM. If given the option, it would be better to choose IMT Ghaziabad or IIM Shillong over SPJAIN PGDM. If you are looking for a campus experience, Ghaziabad would be a better personal preference.
IMT Ghaziabad offers a good executive MBA program. The course curriculum is rich and industry relevant. You will learn through real-time industry case studies. IMT management faculty is one of the best in the country. The institute helps students leverage their experience to elevate in industry. As a student of the course, you will get good exposure and networking opportunities.
At IIMB, the EPGP program is a full-time MBA program that is accredited by EQUIS and AACSB and it is even ranked at 33 in the Global MBA ranking list. PGP is a full-time 2-year program ranked in the top 20 programs in the World in the Master in Management category. You will find the PGPEM program is quite an executive correspondence course ranked among the top 100 in the executive education category. Only the EPGP and the PGP offer you placement at senior and junior positions respectively.

The placements are very poor for PGDM at Alliance University and one should do proper research and get some reviews before taking up this course. You should consider your benefits for the long term also.

Following are the reasons to avoid getting into Alliance University:
During admissions, they will surely promise great placements in top companies and will tell you a lot of good things about their college and environment, but they will be just fooling you around.
As a prospective MBA student, it's important to consider the infrastructure and resources that an institution can provide to help you become industry ready. IMT Ghaziabad offers a unique program that includes a variety of features to support your development.
The Executive MBA program at IMT Ghaziabad boasts highly qualified professors, industry speakers, guest lectures, case-based learning, and pedagogy that aligns with the top MBA programs worldwide.
Peer-to-peer learning is also a key feature of the Executive program. The diverse batch strength, composed of professionals from various industries, provides a rich learning experience in class.
One of the highlights of the program is the international immersion term, where students have the opportunity to visit a leading business school in another country. For example, your batch may have the chance to visit France (Marseille) and gain exposure to international business settings. This can be a valuable and enriching experience
IMT Ghaziabad is definitely a good choice for MBA. Many reputed companies visit the campus. But since you didn’t mention your career goal after completing the course, it’s difficult to say whether it will be suitable for you or not.
If you want to pursue an executive MBA to change your stream then ISB Hyderabad will be better.
Also, you should consider a part-time MBA instead of a distance one. There are many reputed Management colleges like IITs, FMS Delhi conducts part-time MBA courses during weekends or evenings. In distance programs especially in courses like MBA, it gets difficult because the students are unable to go through the practical knowledge which comes from interacting directly with the industries. Google and search colleges that are near your location.
The two programmes are completely different because they are designed for two very different work experience groups.
In comparison to the two-year MBA programme, the executive programme lasts one year.
Given how different the batches are, the placement process is run by two independent bodies in independent ways at independent times, and there is little overlap in roles or offers. The courses provided by both programmes are distinct.
Although both programmes use the same case pedagogy method, the executive programme emphasises interaction over instruction due to the diversity of experiences brought to the table, whereas the MBA programme emphasises instruction.
Given the Executive program's short duration, the intensity is much higher than in the MBA programme, but people with more experience know what's important in life and what isn't.
The executive programme is much more focused than the MBA programme, owing to the fact that people with more work experience already know what they want to do.
When deciding which programme to attend, consider your goals, how certain you are about what you want to do, and your work experience. Up to 6 years, the MBA makes more sense, while after that, the Executive MBA may be worth considering.
XLRI has a strong reputation for Human Resource (HR) management and Industrial Relations (IR) studies. If an individual is specifically interested in HR/IR, then XLRI would be a better option compared to NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies). However, if you are looking for a general management program, then NMIMS would be a better choice because of its excellent peer group and rigorous curriculum.
XLRI is still a good institute for other streams, but it is more specialized in HR and IR. Similarly, NMIMS is known for its general management program, and it may not have the same level of expertise as XLRI in HR/IR.
My friend had opted for the PGDBA course jointly conducted by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI Kolkata. She claims it to be the best decision of her life.
The same friend who graduated from this course had worked on a total of 14 projects and ended up interning with McKinsey. At the end of her internship, McKinsey planned to create a new role - Data Scientist for graduates and other similar recruits. Since then, a lot of big companies have participated in internships and placements in addition to international offers. Since then, the demand for the course has been increasing.
Today, the placement reports show an average placement offer of INR 3507000 which is more than the course fee of INR 2400000.
We can safely conclude that this course places you well within the industry and is worth the high fee spent.
