Which one is better SN Medical College Jodhpur or RUHS Jaipur?

NS

MBBS from Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur (2017)

My friends say that SN is better because the hospital attached to RUHS- i.e. Jaipuria Hospital is a mess, quite literally. It lacks even the basic standard requirements of the MCI.

Even if you find Jaipur to your liking, I'd still recommend thinking twice or thrice before running to join RUHS.

As for SNMC Jodhpur, being one of the oldest medical colleges in Rajasthan, working together with the 4 major hospitals in the city, sounds much better. The infrastructure might not be that great being an old college, but the faculty is good. Maybe you wish to go for RUHS because you're from Jaipur, but choose wisely.

Which one is better for nursing Sms college or ruhs college ?

SMS College is one of the best Rajasthan colleges and is definitely a better option than RUHS College.

  • Infrastructure: SMS has excellent infrastructural facilities and a beautiful campus that enhances the overall learning experience.
  • Faculty: The faculty pool is diverse with highly dedicated and hardworking professors. They act as a true mentor in guiding students in every aspect of life whether it is academics or non-academics.
  • Pedagogy: The faculty adopt unique pedagogy to engrain the topic in the student's mind.
  • Fees: RUHS MBBS fees are INR 33,500/Yr while INR 3,140. The high difference in fees is enough of a factor to choose SMS over RHUS.

RUHS on the other hand is still in its development phase. From the outside, it may be lucrative but the situation inside is pathetic. Students are given very limited exposure and the focus on extracurriculars is also less.

Other options you can consider are RNT, Udaipur, SPMC, and Bikaner, but if you want to experience college life at a new med college, then RUHS is the one for you.

How is RUHS Medical College Jaipur?

SM

studied MBBS from RUHS College of Medical Science, Jaipur (2019)

My brother studied at RUHS Medical College and his experience was not good. Being a new college, we cannot judge it too soon but the professors are willing and friendly. They can help you and their mode of teaching is amazing as well.

The college lacks in co-curricular activities, however, the fests are amazing. There are sports competitions as well, like a football match between juniors and seniors and don't forget the location of Jaipur- it's beautiful!

RUHS collaborates with Jaipuria hospital and now has its own hospital as well! RUHS used to have 100 seats, but it increased to 150 in 2019, so that helps because the cut-off is very high.

What is the minimum marks required for selection in RUHS medical college through general quota?

studied BAMS from Manipal University

As you must be aware, cut-off changes each year. RUHS is the topmost college in Jaipur because it is located in the capital city and is the second most preferred college for most students after SMS.

If you're from an unreserved category with marks 590 and above, and a percentile between 96 to 98, as is required by government medical colleges, and a rank under 400, for the state quota rank list, then you must surely get it.

How many marks do I need to get a payment seat at Jhalawar or RUHS?

RB

BA in Hindi from Jadavpur University

My friend got Jhalawar Medical College with 500 marks and above in NEET, but with a payment seat through 85% State quota. The basic residence requirement is that you should be a domicile of Rajasthan.

Jhalawar Medical College takes in 100 students each year out of which, 15 are for NRIs, 35 for high tuition fee givers as per Bhargav commission's decision, 15 seats are reserved for All India candidates and the rest are for State quota.

The fee for payment seats is INR 5 LPA, so if you can afford it then go ahead; otherwise, you should target 550+ marks to get admitted to any of the Government Medical Colleges in Rajasthan.

But coming to the preparation, you can prepare by revising NCERT books of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Don't forget to practice previous year’s papers at home in a timed fashion.
