How are placements of Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata?

B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Narula Institute of Technology (2017)

My brother is a 2020 pass out from Narula Institute of technology. According to his experience, when it comes to placement, Narula Institute of Technology is not quite up to the mark.

  • TCS, Tech Mahindra, and ITC Infotech are the only three reputable IT companies that came for placement drives, and they take only a handful of students from all departments (mostly from CSE, IT & ECE).
  • Some local startup companies visit the campus, and once you learn about the salary packages the students are offered, you will definitely lose interest.
  • TCS is a mass recruiter and still, they hired not more than 5 students altogether from every department.

CSE students tend to get slightly better placement opportunities than other departments.

Which college is better among JIS NARULA DR Sudhir Chandra or Guru Nanak of Kolkata for CSE?

BJ
Bhavna Jha Posted On : October 13th, 2021
Studied at JIS College of Engineering, (2020)

JIS College of Engineering, Kalyani is the best place to study in West Bengal. Following are the reasons to choose this college:

  • New courses, such as Speakers Corner and British Council, are introduced to help students develop completely.
  • In addition, flip learning has been introduced. You will learn topics by being exposed to visuals.
  • Classroom interiors have been modified.
  • In addition, the examination pattern has shifted. There is no internal examination. Instead, you'll be asked to create a PowerPoint presentation on a course-related topic.
  • Semesters are still in place to ensure that you maintain control over your writing.

However, previously passed students have complained that an informal setting for an educational institution is not appropriate. As students are eventually not properly trained to work in corporate environments which might hamper their placement opportunities and performance in internships.

How is Narula Institute of Technology, Agarpara?

PC
Priyam Chowdhury Posted On : June 28th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

People think NIT Agarpara is a National Institute of Technology but actually, it is Narula Institute of Technology, a TIER 5 Private Engineering College.

One of my friends got passed out from this college and I would like to share his experience with you.

  • Getting admission to the institute is not that tough. They do conduct an entrance test but it is quite easy.
  • He told me that, the faculty of the CS department was quite helpful but can’t say the same about other departments’ faculty. Language can be a barrier if you do not know Bengali.
  • Further, the placement in CS/IT industry was decent and many got placed including my friend with an approximate initial package of 3 LPA in the service-based industry.

It is pretty much an average college in all other regards. So, this was all the data from my side about Narula Institute of Technology, Agarpara. I hope you got some clarification about the college. At last, it is all upon you to choose.

I have taken admission in the Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata in information technology branch. Will I able to get a job, because I have less than 60 in the 12th board and I'm a dropper too?

Yes, you can get a good job offer. But NIT will have little to do with that, it entirely depends on how much effort you will put in

If you find yourself having difficulty in getting along with the faculty then there are always coaching classes you can attend after college. The internet also can be a big help. If your performance in a semester does not meet your expectations, do not lose heart and have faith in your abilities. Learn from your mistakes and try to do better in your next semester.

You mostly have to have knowledge of the programming languages, have aptitude skills, and prowess in English. The companies visiting the college to offer jobs to its students do not care about how much they got in their 10(+2) board examinations but they do not recruit in large numbers as they are not MNCs.

According to the recent placement statistics the average and highest CTC offered at the institute is 3.5 LPA and 10 LPA.
