Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology

Acharya is known for its stunning infrastructure. If you want to look into the academic section, then the views will be completely different for each department.

Departments:

  • Information Science and the Computer Science department are some of the best wings in AIT.
  • CS and IS faculty are better as there is a distinct expose of knowledge if compared to the department of E&C.
  • Other departments like Mechanical, BT, E&E, Mechatronics are ordinary.
  • It doesn't matter which branch you will choose. You will only do great if you are truly interested in it.

Faculty:

  • Expert faculties and most importantly the HOD, who is one of the best personalities you will ever meet in your life.
  • The higher management is quite helpful as they will assist you in every problem.
  • In engineering, if you want to learn something, you need to learn it on your own. Faculties will only guide you on the right path.

Fees:

  • The college fee structure and hostel fees is quite high as compared to other private colleges.

Placement:

  • Most of the companies recruit students for IT sector from branches like CS and IS.
  • A very few companies come for core branches but most of the companies allow all the departments for the placement.

Overall, the Acharya Institute of Technology is a potential choice.

How good is Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore?

AK
Akhilesh Kumar Posted On : April 15th, 2021
Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology

Acharya Institute of Technology is affiliated with VTU which holds a lot of value, unlike Bangalore University. Good or bad depends upon what course the student is choosing.

Study:

  • AIT has enough major courses to choose from as per your own interest.
  • The discipline is pretty strict when it comes to attendance and stuff but otherwise, the students can enjoy it a lot if they stay within their limits.
  • One of the good things is the college conducts lots of different workshops for the students so that the students can get to know the different technologies that are being used in the industry or are in demand.

Campus:

  • The campus itself is pretty big spread over 100 acres.
  • College also provides hostel facilities which are chargeable and free WiFi
  • It has a decent canteen with various eateries available around the college premises.
  • The only problem is the transposition. If you want to roam around, it is difficult as it is not that much connected to the main city.

Placement:

  • Many renowned companies come for placements, but most of them are for IT.
  • Core companies for EEE, Mech do also come but they are very few in numbers.

The table shows a brief overview of the institution:

Particulars

AIT

Median Salary

Highest Salary

Rs. 26 lakhs

Top Recruiters

Which is better: Acharya Institute of Technology or Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology?

AS
Anamika Sridhar Posted On : April 15th, 2021
BE Mechanical Engineering, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (2016)

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology is an autonomous college whereas Acharya Institute of Technology is VTU affiliated. Both of the colleges have excellent infrastructure, but NMIT is considerably far from the city centre as compared to Acharya.

Placement:

  • Students of NMIT get placed into some good companies with some hefty packages.
  • Average packages are around 6 to 10 lacs in NMIT which is good for a tier 2 college.

Faculty:

  • The faculty for EC and CS is good in both the colleges.
  • Most of them are PhD holders in their particular field and some are pursuing it.

Department:

  • Life in the EC department of NMIT is not much happening.
  • CS department in NMIT has the best scenario, a good package, and chilled out faculty.

The table shows a brief overview of the institutions:

Particulars

AIT

NMIT

Median Salary

Rs. 7 lakhs

Rs. 3.5 lakhs

Highest Salary

Rs. 26 lakhs

Rs. 23 lakhs

Entrance Criteria

COMEDK UGET / KCET

KCET

Fees

Rs. 8.56 lakhs

Rs. 2.35 lakhs

NMIT is a good pick but placement wise AIT is better. Overall, the Acharya Institute of Technology is the potential choice.

Ph.D. Semantic Web & Computing, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (2021)

From the given list of institutions, NITTE Meenakshi is highly recommended over the rest of the institutes.

Following are some reasons why you should choose NITTE Meenakshi.

  • It has a great campus with decent placement records, an excellent crowd, and above-average faculty.
  • The fact that it is an autonomous institution is like a cherry on the cake as the students don't have to face problems faced by VTU students. Being an autonomous university, it offers a great curriculum, student diversity, and modern infrastructure.
  • The only con is the location which is away from the city, but there is good connectivity to the college.

Given below is a brief overview of the five institutes.

How is Acharya Institute of Technology?

AS
Anupama Sen Posted On : May 27th, 2021
B.E. Information Science and Technology, Acharya Institute of Technology

Acharya Institute of Technology is a very good college for engineering courses and many students across the country apply for admission to this college every year. I can give you some insight about the institute as I have a few friends at the institute.

  • Academics: It is very good and the faculty are experienced and talented especially in the ISE and CSE branches. Here the students are also given some extra classes on placements assistance and personality development.
  • Extracurricular activities: The college fest is the best among the colleges of Bangalore. Here students also get the opportunity to take part in various competitions, from cricket to table tennis, and in national-level college events too.
  • Infrastructure: It offers modern facilities to the students. You can Google the institute to see pictures of the institute. You will find the fee structure of the college on the COMEDK website.
  • Placements: The placements are decent enough. But if you can appear for exams such as AMCAT and Elitmus then you expect good companies offering good packages. And getting a job depends on you mostly based on your skills and knowledge and how you can present yourself in front of your recruiters.

Hence, Acharya Institute of Technology is a very good college with good academics, experienced professors, and decent placements.

How is hostel facilities in acharya institute of technology?

RK
Roopam Kumar Posted On : February 16th, 2021
BE CS from Acharya Institute of Technology (2020)

A friend of mine stayed at the HKG Hall of Residence at Acharya Institute. Some of the important aspects of the hostel life at Acharya Institute according to his experience are as follows.

  • The double sharing hostel rooms are priced at INR 1.1 and INR 1.47 Lakh per annum respectively.
  • The rooms are spacious and come with attached bedding, storage facilities, and lights.
  • The quality of food available in the hostel mess can be better.
  • In some cases, the food items either get over within 15 to 20 minutes of being served, and at other times a huge quantity of food gets wasted.
  • However, not everyone comes here for wasting food and recouping money thereafter.
  • The majority of the occupiers of the hostel are students of 1st year, whereas most of these students move out of the hostels into individual accommodations or PG room services once they are through 2nd year.
  • The hostel environment, room-mates, and fellow students will have a direct impact on your study and personal experience.
  • It is essential to learn to develop your own skills while living in the hostel and studying at the institute in order to ensure progress.

However, considering all the above factors, you should make a firm decision while choosing the hostels. As your main aim is to study & develop new learning skills for career growth while living in the hostel and wasting your money should not be your priority.

Which college is good for aeronautical engineering in Bangalore among Acharya Institute and Dayanand Sagar College? How are the placements at these colleges?

RC
Riya Chakroborty Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Studied Aeronautical Engineering at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering,2019

Before deciding, you should pay a visit to both the institutes. After analyzing what they have to offer, choose as per your convenience.

Here are some factors you should have knowledge about AIT (Acharya Institute of Technology). One of my colleagues is a Communications and English language Professor here, and can possibly elaborate on this subject better.

  • Since he interacts with the students and professors of the Aeronautical department, he mentions that they have unlimited energy for student facilitation, guidance, and mentoring.
  • They take part in a large number of events, whenever organized.
  • If you visit the campus, you will be thrilled to see their enthusiasm regarding their ongoing projects.
  • Acharya Institute of Technology claims to have strong tie-ups with American, European, and other foreign universities, making it rather simpler to pursue higher studies overseas.
  • A large number of students also visit my colleague for in-house TOEFL coaching, before eventually applying for the student visa to the United States.

In fewer words, it is a life-changing course, if pursued with proper guidance and efficiency. Hope this answers your query.

Is paying 10 lakhs for an Information Science Engineering seat in Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore worth it?

SB
Sagnik Bose Posted On : July 2nd, 2021
Studied at NIT Trichy (2019)

One of my friends got into the Acharya Institute of Technology for the Information Science Engineering course through the management quota. Interestingly, I was also looking up some decent colleges for Engineering in Karnataka for my sister, so I might be able to help you with your question.

I would further be mentioning certain situations or circumstances that you might face ahead. These can be:

  • If, via KCET, you do manage to grab a college that does not match the rank that Acharya Institute of Technology belongs to, or is 2 or 3 ranks below of the institute, do not go for it as it would not be worth it.
  • This is because there would not be any difference in the institutes that are after the ones mentioned in the top -10 to 15 ones. If you have potential, your performance would establish that.
  • If you feel that ISE and CSE are genuinely your thing, go for it. If not, B.Sc. would be a better choice.
  • If the total sum of 10 lakh rupees does not seem a big deal to your family or you. You can go for it.

Under circumstances similar or closer to these, you can think about pursuing it or securing otherwise. The choice is entirely yours.
