How is NIT Nagaland better than all other new northeastern NITs?

NIT Nagaland is better than all other new northeastern NITs in terms of infrastructure, facilities, and placements. It has a well-developed permanent campus. The hostel facilities are pretty good. Laboratories are well-equipped. The campus is in the vicinity of the airport and the railway station. 

NIT Nagaland placements have been impressive over recent years. During the 2021 placement drive, the median CTC offered was INR 10.6 LPA. 

My friend who is studying at NIT Nagaland has told me some of the advantages of studying at the institute. The following are discussed below. 

• Campus: This university has its own permanent campus over 350 acres, with hostels, classrooms, administrative buildings, library all in one campus.
• Good infrastructure: They have good quality hostels, big and well-equipped labs, machine labs, physics labs are even better than IITs. There is a power lab and electronic devices lab under construction.
• Connectivity: It is in the vicinity of the airport and railway station. 7km from the airport and 15km from the railway station of Dimapur which is well connected by trains from all over India.
• Internet speed: Internet connectivity is great at the hostel with a WiFi speed of around 1.5 to 2.5 Mbps. 
• Placements: It will be unfair to compare NIT Nagaland with older NIT. As older NIT has the support of their well-established alumni-base regarding placements.

Among the new NITs, NIT Nagaland is doing quite well in terms of placements. The highest package observed here was 11 LPA while the average package is 5.3 LPA.
