Both NIT Jamshedpur and NIT Jalandhar offer excellent B.Tech CSE programs and have a good track record of placements. However, if you have to choose one of the two based solely on placements, it would be recommended to go for CSE NIT Jamshedpur. Here are a few reasons why:

Higher average package: CSE Average Package at NIT Jamshedpur is slightly higher than that of NIT Jalandhar. The average package at NIT Jamshedpur is around Rs. 9-10 lakhs per annum, while at NIT Jalandhar it is around Rs. 7-8 lakhs per annum.

More top-tier companies visit NIT Jamshedpur: NIT Jamshedpur attracts a higher number of top-tier companies to its campus during the placement season. Of all the good things about NIT Jamshedpur, its placements are one of the major attractions. It is a proven track record and the students here are absolutely assured of successful placements at the completion of their course duration.

The following table shows the placement statistics of both institutes for CSE:

The fact that you are getting admission to one of the NITs is in itself a great feat to have achieved. Hence, you must not worry too much about the branch or campus if it is an NIT. The rest of the things will be smooth.

For CSE, big companies such as Samsung (SRI), Oracle, HP, Amazon, etc. are known to visit the Jamshedpur campus each year to conduct the recruitments. There is certainly an assurance that posts your completion of the course at NIT Jamshedpur, you will have a good and respectful job in your hands.
