Which is better for CSE - MNNIT or IIT BHU?

Although both institutes have a reputation for success in computer science, CSE at IIT BHU has a slight edge over CSE at MNNIT in the long term.

Given below are few points which illustrate the reason. 

Placements: In 2019, IIT BHU observed the highest CTC of 1.53 crore per annum with the average CTC ranging between 10 LPA to 58.21 LPA. In comparison, MNNIT observed the highest CTC of 36 lakhs per annum with an average CTC of 15.12 lakhs per annum. Even considering the difference between domestic and foreign offers along with their foreign exchanges, IIT BHU placements are ahead of MNNIT.

Brand Name: An IIT tag has a global reputation and offers more advantages than an NIT tag. This makes IIT BHU a better prospect than MNNIT, Allahabad.

Academics: Faculty and syllabus at both institutes are comparable, and both institutes offer excellent learning opportunities and culture of coding. The only drawback of IIT BHU is that it has a high student to teacher ratio compared to other IITs and other prestigious institutes.

Location: Allahabad in retrospect has better transportation and infrastructure facilities compared to BHU. Better infrastructure gives an edge to institute in pitching for better firms for recruitment. So, in this case, MNNIT has a slight edge over IIT BHU.

Coding culture: Both institutes have bagged several awards in coding competitions around the world and have an environment to develop your coding skills. 

All in all, both are excellent institutes. Still, if you have to choose one, IIT BHU seems a better option thanks to its placement records and the IIT tag that comes along with it.
