How is the placement of ECE branch in BIT Mesra?

My senior who is a BIT Mesra alumnus was in the ECE branch. She has divided the branch into the following sections:

• Core companies: NXP Semiconductors, Qualcomm, Sankalp Semiconductors, and other core companies like TCS visited the campus when my senior was still a student and a good number of students were placed. The time when the core companies usually visit the campus is during the end of the placement session. 

• Coding companies: When it comes to coding, BIT Mesra has an enviable reputation. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Directi, etc visit the campus. Coding is chosen by a large number of ECE students and they get good placements eventually. Landing your dream job requires you to be well versed in competitive coding. You will be almost guaranteeing yourself a good package if you are an expert in coding.

A large number of people also find placements in consultancy companies as well. The average placements are around 11.76 LPA with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Byjus, etc.
