How are ECE placements in IIT Bhubaneswar?

IIT Bhubaneswar is a new IIT which was established in 2008. And, ECE is one of the newest branches in this IIT which started in 2016 and the first batch graduates in 2020. So there are no previous placement statistics available particularly for ECE. Before 2016 electrical engineering was a combination of traditional electrical and electronic called EEE which used to have a decent average package of 10-12 LPA with the highest package peaking to almost 30 LPA. A good number of core-companies, software companies, and PSU’s hire electrical engineers so it can be assumed that the same trend will follow for ECE. 

IIT Bhubaneswar had a serge in placement in 2019 with an average package of 11.44 LPA, approximately 89 companies visiting for on-campus placements, and the overall placement rate was 90%.
