Yes, IIM Amritsar is worth joining. It has the best placement record among the baby IIMs. During 2022 campus drive, IIM Amritsar placements had an average CTC of INR 14.63 LPA.

Amritsar is well-connected to all parts of India through railways and airlines. The locational advantage plays a crucial role in the development of the institute.

IIM Amritsar has a good faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of reputed B-Schools in India like MDI, FMS, IIFT, etc.

It is totally worth joining IIM Amritsar if you are planning to do your MBA without dropping a year and have not got admission from any of the older IIMs.
