What is the maximum rank to get admission to NIT Raipur?

My cousin was a student of the 2016 batch in the NIT Raipur electrical branch. First of all, when he got admission to the college, in the year 2012, his rank was 37,626. Being an OBC candidate and having a domicile of Chhattisgarh, he managed to bag a seat. So, the admission depends on many factors, some of them being:

1. AIR rank: If your rank is around 15-20 thousand, you will easily get admission in any of the branches but Mechanical.
2. Category: If you are a general category candidate, a rank below 20k would do good for you. But if you are an OBC candidate, you just need a rank below 30k. For SC/ST candidates, you need a rank below 70k. If this criterion is met, you can easily fetch a seat in a good branch, i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Civil, IT, etc.
3. Domicile: If you are a domicile of Chhattisgarh, you are going to have plenty of advantages and can easily get a good branch if you have a rank under 30k ( for general category), under 50k (for OBC category), and under 1 lac ( SC/ ST/ PH category).
