IS ECE in IIT Bhubaneswar better than CSE in NIT Surathkal?

IIT Bhubaneswar ECE is a new branch as it started in 2016. IIT Bhubaneswar’s first ECE branch will graduate in 2020. But the placement record for other branches was good, it was around 10 LPA for Electrical Engineering. The institute collaborates with foreign universities such as the University of Warwick, University of Southampton, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, University of Western Ontario, University of New York, University of North Dakota USA, and McGill University. This means excellent internship and research opportunities for the students of this institution.

NIT Surathkal is a well-reputed name in Indian Engineering institutions. According to NIRF Ranking, it ranks at 22 nationally for engineering. CSE department of NIT Surathkal is well equipped with experienced faculty. Students are offered internship opportunities with an average of 40 thousand stipend. The placement drive of 2019 witnessed 100% placements in B.Tech. The highest package offered this year was 39 LPA and the average salary offered was 14.15 LPA. 

Putting aside the IIT tag, both ECE in IIT Bhubaneswar and CSE in NIT Surathkal are both good career options. So, choose carefully according to your convenience.
