You should choose NIT Trichy, given a choice. DTU, and NIT Trichy both are quite popular. But the NIT tag will offer you better opportunities. NIT Trichy is constantly ranked among top NITs and offers academics at a similar level to most IITs. The institute also has a good placement record. NIT Trichy placements usually have an average CTC of INR 6.5 LPA.

Among NIT Trichy and DTU, the former is better in terms of academics, placements, faculties. NIT Trichy is the best NIT in the country and is considered among the top engineering colleges. The faculty, placement opportunities offered at the institute are equal to many IITs. During last year’s placement drive, the average CTC offered was 6 LPA.

Both NIT Trichy and DTU belong to Tier-1 and offer a lot of good opportunities to explore. Opt for your desired branch in any of these colleges. It all depends upon you, how you bring out the good in everything.

As far as academics, students and placements are concerned, both the colleges have a similar ratio in all fields.

DTU has a locational advantage over NIT Trichy in terms of the level of exposure. But NIT Trichy is also ahead in many ways like the faculty, placements in NIT Trichy are far more reputed than DTU.

Your criterion for choosing among these two colleges should be based on your native place. If you are a North Indian, go for DTU, else if you are from South India, you should definitely go for NIT Trichy.

NIT Trichy has many additional facilities like a Music room, Dance room, A/C Classrooms, and a convenience store as well, while, in the case of DTU, these facilities are missing.
