IIEST Shibpur has an active coding culture. They have a coding club named CODEIIEST. The coding clubs conduct regular sessions and workshops for students. Through these events, students learn various coding languages like Python, Java, etc. CODEIIEST is linked to ROBODARSHAN, the robotics club of the institute. So, if you want you can participate in robotics events as well by learning Arduino coding.

Students of IIEST Shibpur take part in different coding events like Hackerrank and show off their knowledge in programming and coding skills. In ACM ICPC 2020, the top 8 teams from IIEST Shibpur grabbed a rank under 1000.

Indian Institute Of Engineering Science & Technology has a rigorous culture of coding that makes individuals focus on the routine of Eat, Sleep, and Repeat. The coding culture is great when it comes to the second-year curriculum. The college has been home to a lot of coders who are doing great in the market.

The institute has a dedicated coding club known as CodeIIEST for major coding activities. The prominent highlights are:

The primary activity consists of sessions involving conducting informative and interactive sessions to make individuals comfortable with recent developments in technology and innovation.

The team also consists of alumni having proven experience in the practical fields.
The major areas to be focussed on are competitive coding, machine learning, and computer security.

The other club ROBODARSHAN also holds significant importance as it manages to make robotics a prominent part of the institute. The major part to look upon is that the culture is developed by students who are ready to take this legacy ahead. The more they love coding; the diverse culture they get in return.
