The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) considers both the board exam percentage and the JEE Main score for admission to its undergraduate programs in engineering. However, the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to IET-DAVV may vary from year to year and also depend on the category of the student.

Here are some general guidelines:

  • Board exam percentage: Generally, a student must have a minimum of 60% to 75% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university. However, the required percentage may vary depending on the category of the student and the specific branch of engineering they wish to pursue.
  • JEE Main score: Students must also appear for JEE Main and obtain a valid score. Again, the required score may vary depending on the category of the student and the branch of engineering they wish to pursue.

Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to IET-DAVV. Admission is granted based on merit and the availability of seats in the preferred branch of engineering. It's always a good idea to check the official website of IET-DAVV or contact the admission office for the latest information on eligibility criteria and admission procedures.

There is no particular board percentage for JEE Main rank by which you can get into IET-DAVV.

All the admissions are made on the basis of your JEE Main Rank which further depends on which board you studied, and your category. Also, different counseling rounds and most importantly BRANCH matter a lot.

My friend is studying in the CSE branch and in his branch, the general stats are almost all people scored above 80% in boards and JEE 2019 marks are in the range of 130-200.

According to past records, the Closing rank for the unreserved category in the CSE branch 2019 was nearly 30,000 and for the IT branch, it was nearly 40,000.

You may check the opening and closing ranks of IET-DAVV in various branches for 2019 below:

Branch

Opening rank

Closing rank

Civil Engineering

53,365

57,159

Computer Science & Engineering

24,944

30,074

Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

45,336

47,797

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

38,825

44,771

Information Technology

31,517

40,080

Mechanical Engineering

43,867

48,713

Hope this has given you quite a clear view of the range of JEE Mains rank you will require to get into IET-DAVV. However, with the increasing number of candidates each year, the competition is increasing too. So, work hard and give your best to assure a seat at IET-DAVV!
