Which is better, HBTU Kanpur or BIET Jhansi?

When it comes to choosing one between HBTU Kanpur and BIET Jhansi, it always has to be HBTU Kanpur. There can be no comparison between the two.

My elder sister was a student at BIET Jhansi. With the rank that she had secured, she got an opportunity for chemical engineering, electrical engineering and civil engineering at BIET Jhansi and oil engineering, paint engineering and food engineering at HBTU Kanpur. She ended up opting for electrical engineering at BIET Jhansi. 

She decided upon a list of reasons, about why she does not recommend BIET Jhansi over HBTU Kanpur.

1. Lack of good faculty. This will eventually make you lose interest in your studies.
2. Poor placement records. Many of the students do not get placed and have to look for off-campus placement opportunities.

HBTU Kanpur is recommended because of the following reasons:

1. There is no dearth of good faculty in HBTU Kanpur.
2. HBTU Kanpur holds a good placement record. Students from every branch get placed, be it core or non-core.
3. Software companies recruit students from non-IT branches as well. So you will have an opportunity to get placed in a software company even if you do not belong to the IT branch.
4. The students here are highly motivated and thus you will have a good learning environment.
5. Better career growth. You will climb the ladder of your career much faster if you pass out from HBTU Kanpur.
6. Kanpur is a good city to live in. It also gives you exposure to coaching and other resources if you want to pursue higher studies or prepare for competitive exams such as CAT, GATE, GRE, etc.

It is strongly suggested not to commit the mistake that my sister committed because alumni of HBTU Kanpur do well in life much faster than alumni of BIET Jhansi.
