The greatest asset of University of Oklahoma is its professors. The faculties are brilliant, especially in honors and engineering/science colleges. You will get networking opportunities with professors who genuinely want to see you grow.

OU offers ample opportunities to carry out undergraduate research. You can apply for undergraduate research funding and present your work at the annual conference of the university. These opportunities can do wonders to your resume.

OU has a good connection to the Texas job market. You can leverage these connections to receive good recruitment opportunities. A recent Georgetown University study states OU offers the best long-term ROI. Around 87% of students receive job offers within six months of graduation. The median salary for OU graduates is $57,000.

OU offers a great community and atmosphere. The campus experience it offers is enviable.  If you are a bibliophile, you will love the reading clubs of the university. From Harry Potter to Freakonomics, you will certainly find books from any genre that you find interesting.

Football is an integral part of life in the state of Oklahoma. OU is a part of this culture. It actively competes in the football rankings.

OU offers its students all the academic advantages of elite schools and gives them freedom to experiment with different disciplines.

The scholastic program at OU is amazing. With an overall national ranking of 133, University of Oklahoma has a great standing in the US and a lot more to offer its students. What’s more is that it utilizes small classes with some of the best faculty in the area. However, this also depends on what you are looking for in a college.

Social Life:

There are a number of reading clubs in case you are a book aficionado. They discuss books all the way from Harry Potter to podcasts and history books. Football is a major part of every Oklahoma student’s life. Saturdays in fall are almost a holiday. You will also build good relationships with your professors and get to conduct undergraduate research and apply for funding for the same.

Programs & Faculty:

With a student to faculty ratio of 17:1, you can expect some quality teaching with helpful interactions with your professor at the university. My advice would be to network as much as possible. This will ultimately help you in the future.

Most of the students are interested in programs like Business Management, Social Sciences, Engineering and Journalism.

About Norman and the campus:

Living at Norman is quite affordable and cheap as compared to living in big town cities, plus all your needs will be met with the grocery stores and restaurants littered all over the town. The buildings have a Cherokee gothic feel to them. You can watch football, attend clubs and also check out the fraternities and sororities there.

Placements:

You will see a plethora of 4000+ companies visiting the campus every year. You can expect to have a median salary of USD 53,888 and a placement within the first 6 months of graduation if you are determined enough.

Some of her best years were at the University of Oklahoma. The professors are great, you will have a great campus and supportive professors. You will definitely have a successful career there.
