How will placement in IIT Tirupati be?

IIT Tirupati is a new IIT, but in the last two years, the institute has offered decent placements. The institute also has well-qualified faculty including the director Dr. K.N. Satyanarayana. 

Discussed below are the placement record of the institute over the last two years. 

Placements:

IIT Tirupati has good placement records which are consistently improving year by year.

• For the academic year 2019 out of 91 students that registered for placements, 70 students got placed with an average CTC of 9.2 LPA. The highest CTC offered to the students in 2019 was 22 LPA. Fourkites offered the highest CTC. 
• Some of the top recruiters at the institute for 2019 were Bosch, TCS, L&T group, Versa Networks, Honeywell, iManage, Mathworks, Everastnet Yodlee, Amazon, etc.
• For the current 2020 batch out of 113 registered students, 90 students were placed in reputed organizations. The highest package offered was 22 LPA and the average package stood at 9.18 LPA. Also, the institute achieved 100% summer placements in the year 2020. 
• Some of the top recruiters for the 2020 batch include EY, Bosch, TCS, Honeywell, Flipkart, Intel, Qualcomm, JP Morgan, Oyo, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Ashok Leyland, etc.

Higher Studies: Apart from this many students opt for higher studies and are studying at the University of Illinois, New York University, University of California San Diego, Texas A&M University, Purdue University, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, etc.

Also, when considering the new generation IIT’s location plays an integral part in its development. In that aspect, IIT Tirupati has an advantage as it is located near Chennai and Hyderabad. The closing ranks for IIT Tirupati are improving year by year as the closing rank for CSE was 3491 while the opening rank was 1817. This indicates the upward trajectory of IIT Tirupati and is more likely to improve in the upcoming years.
