I am a student at IIT Bhubaneswar and I can share a few insights that will help guide you to prepare for the IIT Bhubaneswar written text and interview. You must prepare well for the written test as too many basic and technical questions are being asked. I will share the question pattern for the written test below:
My interview experience was good. The interview lasted for 5-6 mins. There were only 5 panel members which is the usual number of members in the panel. For the interview be confident and answer the questions asked in detail. You must prepare properly for your specialization.
For the preparation for the IIT Bhubaneswar written test, you do not have to take tension as it’s much simpler. They ask you only basics and that also from not all subjects.
As far as the pattern for the written test, there are 35 questions of 90 minutes with no negative marking (1-20 questions of 1 mark each, 21-35 questions of 2 marks each). The subjects covered are on Communication, Signals, emt, Digital, EDC, and Analog.
Now for interview preparation, they will ask you 2-3 topics in which you are an expert. Mainly the questions will be asked from the topics of induction motor, rectifiers in power electronics, chopper, the power system with diagram. If you focus on communication and signal systems then you can easily crack the interview.
