SPJIMR is a better B-School. It has a unique curriculum and pedagogical approach. The institute offers learning opportunities beyond the classroom. There are practical-oriented courses such as PG lab and Design Thinking courses. These courses will help you get industry-ready. Faculty base of the institute is great. Most of the faculty members have years of experience in the corporate world.

NMIMS has a huge intake of around 600. The large batch size causes problem during placements. SPJIMR has a batch strength of around 250.  So, each student gets decent chances in placements. According to the recent highlights of SPJIMR placements, students receive an average CTC of INR 30 LPA.

There are some points to be kept in mind while selecting a B-school. You have to consider important facts like the course fees, the return of investment, location of the college, and the collaborations the college has with corporate houses, etc. Studying here i can provide you the following points to give you a better picture of NMIMS -

School Cadre: Talking and learning about the college environment from alumni is a good way to figure out about that particular college. They will give you sufficient pros and cons and a detailed insight of the institute.

Batch Size: Batch size matters when you sit down and compete for placement. The smaller the batch size, the greater the chance of getting placed.

Fees: The fees are an important factor in choosing a B-school. As in the past few years, there has been an increase of 2% in fees and 25% in salary packages. The exact placement package mentioned by the institute is not always offered, so it is always advisable to look and invest in colleges with a profit return.

Faculty and Curriculum: Most of the B-schools in India like IIM, NMIMS, ISB, use Harvard Business curriculum. It is better to learn about the faculty of the college before joining it.

Location of the College: The college location plays an important role in the exposure you get. If it's located nearer the city, it is possible that you will get industry expansion, internship and placement with big companies. Colleges having collaboration with companies like Wipro, etc. can provide direct industry training.

Unlike SPJIMR, NMIMS has a huge concern about their batch size. But the total fee at NMIMS is 11.5 lakh including food and accommodation. Whereas SPJIMR costs 16.5 lakh including food and accommodation.
