Which one out of IIM Nagpur and IIM Vizag is preferable?

IIM Nagpur and IIM Vizag are both institutes of national importance and are relatively newer in the generation of IIMs. While IIM Vizag stands at 20th in IIMs Rankings, IIM Nagpur occupies 14th spot.

Admissions

IIM Vizag

• Students must have at least 55% in their graduation to apply for PGP, Ph.D., PGP-DGM, PGPEx programs.
• Admissions are based on CAT/GMAT/GRE scores.

IIM Nagpur

• For PGP, a student must be a graduate with 55%.
• IIM Nagpur accepts the scores of CAT as well as GMAT.

Infrastructure

IIM Vizag

• The library consists of about 30,000 books, thesis, journals, e-books, etc.
• The campus has WiFi access, auditorium, hostels, canteen, conference rooms, gyms. ATMs etc.
• It functions on the Harvard Business School model, teaching mostly based on case studies.

IIM Nagpur

Both the institutes are mentored by older IIMs and have highly qualified faculty. These institutions are also a part of many international collaborations which help students avail myriad of facilities. It is up to the individual to select a given course in a particular college based on interest and accessibility after considering all factors.
