Is NIT Warangal better than IIT Tirupati?

Both NITs and IITs have a high brand value and are ranked amongst the top institutions in the country. Often it is advised to pursue engineering from older NITs or IITs rather than newer ones, as they have a better connection in the industry and are validated by the placement records, also special mentions earned. NIT Warangal ranks 46th by NIRF, while IIT Tirupati is a newly established institute, hence not yet ranked by NIRF. Given below is a brief comparison.

INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATIONS:

• NIT Warangal: In collaboration with the University of Perpignan (France), Vilnius University (Lithuania), Portal University (Spain), Technological Educational Institute of Patras (Greece), etc, it offers a global immersion programme for both faculty and students.

IIT Tirupati-

• Central Library at IIT Tirupati is a member of e-Shodh Sindhu. It has a subscription to over 25 journals and magazines.

PLACEMENTS:

NIT Warangal-

• The top recruiters are Accenture, Amazon, Black Buck, Microsoft, Loreal, Capgemini, Morgan Stanley, Jio, Mahindra, Citi Bank, VMware India, etc.
• The total number of recruiters was 177 making about 732 offers with the average placement percentage was 80%.
• The highest CTC of the year 2020 was ?43.33 LPA
• The average CTC in the year 2020 was ?12.15 LPA

IIT Tirupati-

NIT Warangal is one of the oldest NITs and is reputed for its consistent academic excellence and esteemed faculty. On the other hand, IIT Tirupati is a relatively newly established college and is yet to be fully operational, hence many facilities are yet to be availed.
