Which is better, IIT Hyderabad CSE or IIT Roorkee ECE?

IIT Roorkee, ranked 6th for engineering, is one of the oldest institutions of the country while IIT Hyderabad, ranked 17th is one of the relatively newer generation of IITs.

IIT Roorkee, ECE- The course offers in-depth knowledge on electronics and communication networking along with fundamentals of programming. Key subjects on offer are advanced electronic circuits, control systems, microprocessors and microcontrollers, VLSI and semiconductor technology, etc. with practical knowledge as well.

IIT Hyderabad, CSE- Programming concepts in different languages are taught and then further up in higher semesters, under electives, modern technologies like AI/IOT/ML basics are cleared along with a mandatory research paper or project.

It is very tough to distinguish between these colleges as these are premier institutes of the nation. Infrastructurally they are almost at par with all facilities available. Faculties are highly qualified, few being involved in many government funded research projects. Computer science is one of the most sought-after specialisations, that attracts lucrative offers, but even electronics has seen a boom in the industry. Hence, it is up to the student to choose a given course in a particular college.
