I have friends from both IIT Indore and NITK and based on their experiences, you will get placed excellently at both the colleges given that you have a great profile. But if you are planning to go for higher studies, then the IIT tag comes to play.

NIT Surathkal CSE is no doubt much better than electrical from IIT Indore. However, if you go for placements, future scope, reputation, and environment, then indeed NIT Surathkal CSE is a better option, but if you are looking for an IIT tag, go for IIT Indore.
