Is LPU or PDPU better?

This completely depends on your preferences and interests. LPU is known for its overall quality and atmosphere. PDPU is renowned for its petroleum engineering course that provides the most lucrative placement opportunities.

Courses offered:

• LPU offers various engineering as well as commerce courses. They offer BBA, B.Tech, BPT, MBA & M.Tech. The first-year fees vary from INR 95,200 to INR 3,04,000.

• PDPU is famous for its engineering courses. However, they also offer BBA, BA, B.Com, B.Sc, and MBA along with B.Tech & M.Tech. The first year fee starts from INR 1,54,000.

Hostel Facilities:

• LPU provides standard rooms as well as apartments for students. They cost from 30,000 to 1,55,000 rupees per year inclusive of food.

• PDPU provides AC rooms for a cost of Rs. 85,000 per year. Additionally, they charge Rs. 44,000 a year for food.

Placement:

PDPU:

• The placement opportunities for students in PDPU are plenty. Especially if they are studying Petroleum engineering.

• PDPU students get campus placement opportunities from TCS, Torrent Gas, Infosys, Wipro, ONGC, Hansa Group, Reliance Industries, Adani Gas, etc.

• The highest CTC offered was around INR 20 LPA from ONGC. The average CTC offered is around INR 3.5 LPA.

LPU:

• LPU students get campus placement opportunities from a plethora of MNCs.

• Some of their most famous recruiters are Capgemini, Wipro, Amazon, Bosch, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Mercedes Benz, Renault Nissan, Trident Group, Hindustan Unilever, etc.

• The IT sector has recruited the highest number of students for LPU placements. The highest CTC was for the engineering branch which was INR 42 LPA, offered by Microsoft.

Additional Facilities:

LPU:

• LPU has a 9-story central library for students. They also have an open-air theatre, university mall, and food kiosks inside the campus.

• There are plenty of sports and recreational facilities available for students like a snooker lounge, boxing ring, football field, and basketball court.

PDPU:

• PDPU has Siemens Center of Excellence, which is regarded as the best training center for automation training.

• PDPU has plenty of sports clubs and recreational activities like ultimate frisbee club, volleyball court, yoga club, tennis court, cricket ground, bowling complex, and football field.

There is no outright option that is better than the other. Both are excellent colleges offering a great college life and career prospects. Students are advised to make a decision based on their personal interests.
