Should I go for PDPU or Symbiosis?

That would depend on the course you are interested in. Symbiosis is the better college for arts or commerce degree. Whereas, PDPU is ideal if you want to pursue a career in technology. Especially if you want to choose petroleum engineering, which PDPU is famous for.

Fee Structure:

• The first-year fee at PDPU for technological courses is INR 2.53 lakhs. The total fee for 4 years will come to around INR 9.37 lakhs (not including hostel fees).
• The first-year fee for UG courses at Symbiosis is around INR 2.8 lakhs (not including hostel fees).

Infrastructure:

• Symbiosis is like a brand name. Their infrastructure and teaching faculty are top-notch.

• Students are particularly fond of the extracurricular activities arranged by the institution.

• The infrastructure in Symbiosis meets international standards which is evident from the multiple MNCs that arrive at their campus every year to scout for talented students.

PDPU:

• PDPU has a very spacious campus and they promote extracurricular activities year-round.

• The labs in PDPU have new and advanced equipment and machines.

• PDPU has Siemens Center of Excellence, which is regarded as the best training center for automation training.

Placement:

PDPU:

The placement opportunities for students in PDPU are plenty. Especially if they are studying Petroleum engineering.

• PDPU students get campus placement opportunities from TCS, Torrent Gas, Infosys, Wipro, ONGC, Hansa Group, Reliance Industries, Adani Gas, etc.

• The highest CTC offered was around INR 20 LPA from ONGC. The average CTC offered is around INR 3.5 LPA.

Symbiosis:

Symbiosis students will get campus placement opportunities from a plethora of MNCs as well as domestic companies.

• Some of the top recruiters are Nestle, KPMG, HDFC Life, Marico, Nielsen, Danfoss, Bisleri, Seed works International, Godrej, Aditya Birla, ICICI Prudential

• The CTC offered will depend on the branch and stream you study. The highest domestic CTC offered was INR 17 LPA and the highest international CTC was INR 65 LPA.

Both of these colleges have very good infrastructure and excellent placement opportunities. Symbiosis is ideal for arts & commerce courses, whereas PDPU is renowned for its technological courses. The decision to choose between them should be based on the interest of the student.
