Despite being a new IIT, IIT Bhubaneswar offers good CSE programs both in terms of academics and placements. The School of Electrical Sciences offers experienced faculties from subject backgrounds and have 33 full-fledged laboratories well equipped with necessary instrumentation. There has been a surge in the placement at IIT Bhubaneswar over the last few years, in the 2019 placement drive the CSE department had the highest placement rate, around 100%. The average placement package offered at this institute was 11.4 LPA.
