IIT Kharagpur has the largest campus among all IITs. The IIT KGP campus is stretched across 2100 acres (8.7kilometers), and is home to 22,000 residents.

Located 120 km west of Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur is India's major academic and technological hub. The Kharagpur Railway Station is within 5 km radius of the university, in the West Midnapore area.
