Both IITS are well-reputed and provide the best knowledge to their students. However, if we

look at the statistics, IIT Bombay is rated higher than IIT Kharagpur by various ranking authorities.

As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, IIT Bombay is ranked 3rd and IIT Kharagpur is ranked 6th among top engineering colleges in India.
In the QS Asia University Ranking 2023, IIT Bombay has recorded the 40th, and IIT Kharagpur has recorded the 61st position.
In the QS World University Ranking 2023, IIT Bombay is at 172nd, and IIT Kharagpur is at 270th position.

Also, If we look at the Placement statistics, IIT Bombay Outshines IIT Kharagpur-
