How is the IIT Kanpur internship program?

The internship opportunity at IIT Kanpur is one of the best in the nation. The institution has an internship program for students known as the SURGE ( Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence) program. This program has been running in IIT Kanpur for more than 15 years. This program offers a summer research internship opportunity for 2 months to the students. It is held offline on the campus of the institution. It usually starts from mid-May and last til mid-July. This internship research program by IIT Kanpur helps you to gather experience in the world of research. The eligibility criteria for applying to the SURGE program is you must have completed the 3rd year of B.Tech or BE or B-Arch or BS. For 5 5-year degree program, you must complete the 4th year, for a B.Sc or B.A. completing the 2nd year is mandatory. Masters students too can apply in the SURGE program, you should complete the 1st year before applying.
