Which is better: EEE at BITS Pilani or CSE at BITS Hyderabad/Goa?

If you are interested in how the electrical system works including the power systems and electronics, you should opt for EEE at Bits Pilani. If you aim to become a software developer or are interested in algorithms, programming, machine learning and artificial intelligence, then you should opt for CSE at BITS Hyderabad/Goa.

In terms of placements, if you choose EEE, you can expect to get placed in telecommunications, automation, power generation and electronic manufacturing companies. When it comes to CSE, you can be recruited by software development companies, intelligence, data science, artificial intelligence companies, etc. The scope of CSE is better than EEE.

Both campuses have the same placement process and top companies visit both campuses. Both CSE AND EEE have bright prospects when it comes to career growth opportunities, so I would recommend you choose the one that you prefer more.

I am currently studying CSE at BITS Hyderabad, and have a few friends in BITS Pilani and BITS Goa.

It is a well known fact that BITS Pilani has a rich legacy, whereas BITS Goa and Hyderabad are much newer. But you can rest assured that both the newer BITS have seen tremendous progress over the years, and they are on their way to create a legacy of their own. Also, it is very important to note that the final degree is given under BITS Pilani, irrespective of the campus one studies in.

It seems that CS might be your first preference, but the brand name is what concerns you. So I’ll mention in detail about the CSE at BITS Hyderabad/Goa-

The CS faculty at both Goa and Hyderabad campuses are skilled and supportive of their students.
CS is a good branch even if you choose to pursue your higher education (MS/MBA) or opt for exams like UPSC. Today’s world demands more and more skilled techies in all career fields.
The coding culture at Goa is getting better with time, and even at Hyderabad, the coding culture has made progress. The number of enthusiastic coders is increasing at both the campuses.
Irrespective of the campus, BITS offers immense opportunities and exposure to all its students.

I would recommend you to choose BITS Hyderabad/Goa if you are interested in studying CSE. Give preference to your branch of interest, instead of running after the brand name and reputation of the institute.
