How did Asim Krishna Prasad, MNNIT, Allahabad, get into Google? What's the untold story behind it?

There isn’t any magical tale behind people like Asim or Vishwas Tripathi. It is simply their dedication and hard work that makes them the best. 

Asim devoted all his time and efforts towards programming. This is why he was able to get an offer from Google, and set an example for his juniors at MNNIT Allahabad. Asim hails from Kathmandu, but is of Indian origin. He got into MNNIT through the MEA quota. 

Some of Asim’s relatives were already working in IT firms. So he already knew of the requirements of this field. Moreover, he was into coding since high school. So, by the time JEE aspirants finish Conics, Sound and Mechanics to crack their JEE exam, Asim had already gathered a 2-year experience in competitive coding. 

But even if he did not have prior experience in competitive coding, or the other advantages I mentioned, he would still have gotten success. This is because he never stopped learning, practicing and challenging himself.

He knows several languages, and in his first year, he made it to the TOP 100 in Codechef rankings. He went on to excel at Codeforces and TopCoder. He frequently participated in Google Code Jam and Facebook Coding Events.

Above everything, it was his passion for coding, and his hunger to keep learning that got him to this place. He didn’t just learn, but also shared his knowledge with others around him.

Asim’s story is an inspiration to programmers not just at MNNIT Allahabad, but across the globe. Most of us clear our JEE Mains, get into prestigious colleges, and take it as an end to our struggles. But Asim’s story teaches us how important it is to never let small successes get to our head.
