I am a student of VNIT Nagpur. According to me, It is important to highlight the negative aspects of my college. They are- VNIT has the highest hostel fee among all IITs and NITs, and it increases every 1-2 years. The college administration is not responsible or student friendly at all. The student council simply communicates official orders from the administration to students.This is because its members are selected by the administration itself. The clubs aren’t provided proper funds. Even the tech and cultural fest aren’t financially supported by the college. M.Tech placements are very poor because the professors do not permit industrial training. The Training and Placement Cell charges extra money, other than the TnP charges mentioned by the college. The professors are allotted subjects of which they don’t even have an expertise. No leaves are given for internships at prestigious universities like CMU, MIT, and Stanford. The refundable caution money is not given back. VNIT is a well known institute. However, its administration has failed the students. A lot of changes need to be made in the functioning of this college.
