B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, PES University

It depends on the course you are choosing. If you are choosing CS or EC, then PES University will be a good option. These branches have a placement rate of around 90-95%. According to the highlights of PES University placements, the average CTC for branches like CS, or EC is around INR 6 LPA.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, PES University

It totally depends upon the eligibility criteria to secure admission. If the students do not belong to Karnataka and want to take admission into PES university only then they have to go through CET and PESSAT for the undergraduate, and for postgraduate students need to have PESSAT and other national entrance examination scores.

Here is the detailed information about the intakes through PESSAT and KCET for all courses.

There are also some courses, for which PESSAT scores as well CET scores are not required. For these courses, the admission process is merit-based. One such course is BBA HEM.

PESSAT exam details:

  • The PES university conducts an entrance examination every year named as PES Scholastic aptitude test (PESSAT) for the admission into many courses of multiple disciplines.

  • The candidates who are interested in admission into PES university, they have to appear for PESSAT for the following courses such as B.Tech, BBA, LLB, MCA, MBA.

  • Interested candidates for design courses, will have to go through PESSAT DAT (Design Aptitude Test) for admission.

Admission:

  • 10+2 with 60% marks from any recognized board for the general category is the required eligibility to apply for PESSAT which is compulsory for both undergraduate, integrated, and postgraduate courses.

  • The faculty of architecture and faculty of the law department accept other entrance examinations called NATA (B.Arch) and CLAT (Law).

  • The students who have done 3 years of diploma and seeking admission in BArch are also eligible to apply for PESSAT.

For those students who are seeking admission to PES University and do not have any of the national entrance scores, admission through PESSAT is worth it. However, there are limited seats for the PESSAT qualified students for all courses.
