Both KIIT and LPU are considered as top private universities for engineering. But I can only speak in favour of LPU as I have done my education at LPU.

I interacted with my friends at LPU who have done their BTech CSE. More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.

Tanya Arora, a final year BTech CSE student secured INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft. Amazon also offered INR 28 lakhs package. Utkarsh secured a position at Google HQ in Silicon Valley with a package of INR 1 crore.

This I hope proves my point that LPU is better for CSE than KIIT.

I won’t be able to comment on CSE at LPU.

However, as an alumnus of KIIT and a former student of CSE branch, let me assure you that placements are taken quite seriously over there. During your third year, you have to score well in the EST which stands for Employability Skills Test and which is mandatory.

KIIT has a separate college with its own faculty to prepare the students for placements. The third year is tough because of the training.

If you maintain a good academic record at KIIT, you will get to sit for placements at Deloitte, MuSigma, SAP, HP, HP R&D, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Bookmyshow.com, Intel, ThoughtWorks, NPCIL, Dell, etc.

Companies like Accenture, mPhasis, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Ericsson, etc. also visit the campus for placements and are fairly easy to get placed in.

Thus, KIIT CSE is a great option placement-wise. However, rather than solely depending on an institution, I would suggest you focus more on skill enhancement and try to become skilled in your field.
